I live mostly in France, which sounds show-offy but if you saw our house you would realise it really isn’t. My husband Andrew is a marine engineer and works a lot round there and we have two children, Wallace and Michael-Francis, or Michel-Francis when we need to confuse him in public. Wallace is three and likes falling out of trees, putting on his velcro sandals and singing loud songs about wasps; Michael-Francis is just a baby and likes jamming his fingers in drawers, being held upside down and eating Wallace’s mini farm.
Jenny Colgan is the author of eight bestselling books, most recently West End Girls and Operation Sunshine. She lives in France with her husband and two sons.
