Hey, I haven’t been here for a bit, mostly because they’ve been upgrading the site and I couldn’t get on it. So this is highly experimental and I don’t understand it in the slightest. Expect swearing and odd fonts for a bit. For example I just thought I’d type Diamonds and put a link on it, but I pressed a link button and a whole new page shot up at me. Frankly, I’m terrified. Ooh, is that it now?
Anyway, thanks for stopping in. ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’ has been out about a month now and I hope you liked it, do let me know. If you liked it, obviously. If you hated it, frankly, this may not be the website for you.
Also the other reason I can’t figure out my new site is that we’ve just had a new baby girl so I have total nappy head. She is adorable, even if the two big boys regard her as a kind of incoming monkey that likes quite severe pats to the head. She takes it in good part. Also they do say children will respond to a new sibling in different ways, and my two responded to it by instantly developing virulent chicken pox and demanding apple juice and Franklin the Tortoise stories 24/7
I HAVE still been reading and will keep updating the book blog but it’s been nice easy stuff like CJ Sansom and Lee Child (yes, I’m the world’s only female Lee Child fan) so will get back to that as soon as I can make it work/ stop staring at the baby.
AND I’m trying to finish my new book, provisionally entitled The Good The Bad and the Dumped OR the Near Misses, not sure yet. Whilst getting a suntan and keeping up with Wimbledon, both obviously very important part of a writer’s life. Also apart from this site other good places to catch up with me are Facebook and Twitter even though I totally don’t get the point of Twitter and can’t figure it out and end up reading half of my friends’ conversations in reverse.
Okay I am going to press the ’save draft’ button. I am quite scared and think it might be like that episode of Doctor Who where the computer vapourised everyone in the library. One, two, three…
Ooh yay! We’re all still here. I’m getting brave now and might even stick in a pic:

Three littlies; Wallace, Michael-Francis and baby Delphie

Awww the children look lovely.
Love Diamonds thought it was very funny but then I have liked all your books so no surprise there really.
I got me a diamonds’ light blue with sparkly-thingie book.
any tips on how to write a novel?
Congrats on the new baby! Your children are too cute! I am reading Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend right now!
Hello Jenny, I have just finished reading Diamonds are a girls best friend and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. I don’t read on a regular basis and I got bought this book for my birthday and I couldnt put it down, I read it within a few days (thats very quick for me lol) I even read it walking through london annoying everyone rushing to work. Im going to look out for your other books. Thanks for writting such a witty, funny and exciting book. Love Sarah. x
Sounds like you’re getting the hang of it, stick in there!
Wonderful book, I am about half-way though, cannot put it down. I am a Ukrainian girl living in US… Saw a review in a magazine (Glamour or Comopolitan?). Keep writing!! I love your sincere and kind style. Plan on ordering more of your books :) You children are adorable.
Are you working on anything new?
I’m a 14 year old girl and I got hold of one of my dad’s Lee Child novels and it’s so captivating! So I guess that’s two female fans. Also I don’t know if you’re taking suggestions, but if I were you I’d call your new book the Near Misses. It’s much catchier, I think, and far less cliched. But whatever you call it I’m sure it will be lovely.
I loved Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend, but I’m skint so for now I’m trying to find your other books second hand on the internet. Because book shops really don’t consider the trials and tribulations of being an unemployed teenager; one of which is having ridiculous amounts of free time to read good books with and the other being an addiction to spending money on KFC which results in having no money to spend £6.99 on one book.
Hello! I agree with you on Near Missus, btw. Join the library! They’re all free!!!
Thanks for message, Jenxxxx
